What’s New in Film

Let me preface this entry by saying it’s purely a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

Britain’s The Sun is reporting that Justin Timberlake has promised Guy Ritchie that he will star in the director’s big screen version of Guys and Dolls. Supposedly they shook hands over a whisky. If that doesn’t secure it, I don’t know what would.

Justin certainly has the singing and dancing chops, and a lot of people think his acting abilities are adequate, so it could be a pretty good match. Although it hasn’t even been confirmed that this movie is happening, so this may be a bunch of BS.

If it does happen, hopefully it’ll be more successful than the last time Guy put a pop star in one of his movies. (*ahem*  Swept Away anyone…?)
