Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes
Excitement is building for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. Set to open Christmas Day 2009, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and Mark Strong.
Only Guy Ritchie could make these guys look cool.
Here’s the synopsis as per the Warner Bros. site: “In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.”
It’s best to reserve judgment until after we’ve all seen it, but it seems to have the makings of a winner. Guy Ritchie could certainly use a hit, and Sherlock Holmes might just be it.
